| Michael and Foreseen Factory

Foreseen Optics began in 1991, when China’s military optical enterprises shifted to civilian production, and Japanese factories sought Chinese OEM partners. Foreseen then started OEM manufacturing for hunting optics.

In 2007, Michael returned and observed the trend of industry consolidation in China. Recognizing the challenge for traditional factories to stay competitive in cost and quality, he founded Foreseen Optics to focus on R&D and manufacturing of hunting optics.

Michael integrated resources across China—optical design in Kunming, lens manufacturing in Sichuan, military expertise in Chongqing, LED electronics in Shenzhen, and CNC machining in Nantong—earning ISO9001 certification. This allows Foreseen Optics to deliver highly competitive hunting optics.

To enhance efficiency and better fulfill diverse customer orders, we positioned our riflescope production in Nantong, telescope production in Kunming, and electronics in Dongguan, leveraging China’s industrial strengths.

How Lightweight Binoculars Are Changing Procurement Decisions in the Hiking Market

In hiking and lightweight outdoor scenarios, the way buyers evaluate binoculars is clearly changing. In the past, many buyers tended to focus first on magnification, objective lens size, ED glass, or whether the binoculars offered a wide field of view. But once the product is actually used on hiking trails, mountain routes, long-distance outdoor trips,…

Hiking Binocular Market Shift: From Lightweight Design to Real Outdoor Durability

In the outdoor optics market, hiking used to be seen as a fairly basic application — something lightweight, portable, and “good enough” was often considered sufficient. But as more people get into hiking, camping, birdwatching, nature observation, and lightweight travel, the expectations for binoculars in hiking scenarios are becoming much more specific. Today’s hiking users…

Why Hiking Binocular Buyers Care More About Portability Than Specs

In traditional binocular purchasing, many buyers are used to looking first at magnification, objective lens size, prism material, coating level, and field of view. But in the hiking channel, what really determines whether a product will be used consistently by end users — and purchased repeatedly by distributors — is often not one single optical…

Hunting Binocular Purchasing Decisions: Why Real Performance Matters More Than Specifications

When discussing the purchase of hunting binoculars, many people usually start with the most visible specifications: magnification, objective lens diameter, ED glass, wide-angle design, or whether the price can be pushed a little lower. These questions are certainly important. However, from the manufacturing side, once you have been truly involved in product definition, sample review,…

Should You Leave Your Red Dot On All the Time?

Nowadays, whether it’s a pistol, a rifle or a carbine, red dot sights are basically standard optical accessories. Its greatest advantage is that it can quickly lock onto the target, even in a tense and stressful situation, and still allow for smooth aiming. Many novice players often struggle with one thing: Should the red dot…
