Warranty Information for FORESEEN Products

At FORESEEN, based on product structure, sealing, and design features, we offer the following warranty options for our clients:

  • High-End Custom Products: Tailored to client needs, with warranty options of 3 years, 5 years, or lifetime coverage.
  • Standard Products (non-waterproof): 1-year warranty.
  • Waterproof Products: 2-year warranty.

Why FORESEEN Offers Different Warranty Levels for Products?

Hunting optical products typically consist of three main components: optical elements, electronic components (including batteries), and supporting and moving parts. With long-term use and environmental impacts, these modules can experience varying degrees of performance degradation.

1. Optical Elements: Corrosion and Clarity Loss

When optical elements are exposed to humid environments for extended periods, the lens surface may undergo chemical reactions due to condensation, gradually corroding the glass and diminishing smoothness, which affects clarity and brightness. If the sealing is inadequate and the environment is harsh, these issues may manifest within a year, although they typically do not lead to immediate product failure.

Preventive Measures by FORESEEN OPTICS:

  • Use of high-quality multi-layer coatings.
  • Ensuring products have a robust sealing structure and are filled with dry nitrogen/argon.

2. Electronic Components: Environmental Aging and Circuit Issues

The electronic modules in optical products, such as batteries, circuit boards, and displays, can age rapidly in humid environments. Solder joints and connection points are particularly vulnerable to damage, potentially leading to errors, delays, data loss, or abnormal product functions. These issues typically emerge gradually within two years and can severely impact the core functionality of the device.

Preventive Measures by FORESEEN OPTICS:

  • Use of moisture-resistant coatings or complete potting seal processes to protect circuit boards and solder joints.
  • Packaging of key circuit components and ensuring proper sealing of battery compartments.

3. Supporting and Moving Parts: Stress Deformation and Loosening Issues

Over time, temperature fluctuations can cause stress deformation and thermal expansion in supporting and moving parts. These deformations may lead to optical misalignment or loosen electronic modules. In addition, moving parts, such as sight adjustment mechanisms, are prone to wear over long-term use, affecting accuracy. For devices requiring impact resistance, material and structural design are especially critical. Even slight loosening can worsen under firearm recoil, eventually causing the product to fail.

From the above analysis, it’s clear that while these issues may occur, selecting different processes and materials can significantly delay their onset, thus extending the product’s lifespan. However, the core consideration lies in cost. If a product uses entry-level optical and electronic components, it is essential to carefully consider whether a significant investment in extending the product’s lifespan is warranted.

FORESEEN OPTICS generally advises brand clients to strike a balance between performance and warranty commitment when customizing or ordering their products based on the product’s positioning. After all, a $50 optical device doesn’t require a lifetime warranty, whereas a $5,000 device should be built to accompany the user for life.

FORESEEN Product Repair Policy

  1. Within the Warranty Period: FORESEEN OPTICS offers free replacement of accessories and provides a product replacement service (rather than repair). These services are typically executed in the subsequent order after the request is made.
  2. Outside the Warranty Period: FORESEEN OPTICS offers free repair guidance, low-cost replacement parts, and paid repair services.
