Night Vision

Night vision technology is generally divided into two types: active and passive. In military applications, passive night vision is typically used to avoid detection by the enemy. These devices are usually mounted on helmets or used handheld because the delicate image intensifier tubes inside them cannot withstand the strong vibrations from firearms. In contrast, digital night vision devices do not have this limitation and can be mounted on any platform. Digital night vision utilizes an active infrared light source to capture images of the surrounding environment, with the core technology being the conversion of photons into electrons, which are then amplified and converted back into a visible image.
FORESEEN OPTICS is proficient in both thermal imaging and night vision technologies. Compared to thermal imaging, one significant advantage of night vision technology is its ability to more clearly distinguish the type and age of animals, helping hunters avoid tracking the wrong target. This is especially important because many hunting activities only allow the pursuit of specific species of mature male animals within designated areas.
Another key advantage of night vision technology is its cost. While both thermal imaging and night vision rely on lenses and sensors, the cost difference between the two technologies is substantial. For hunters with a similar budget, choosing a high-quality night vision device may offer better value than an entry-level thermal imaging device when it comes to spotting game.
During the development of night vision devices, FORESEEN OPTICS simultaneously advanced both night vision and night vision rifle scopes. Since night vision devices do not require the robust shock resistance that night vision rifle scopes do, they are generally more affordable. As active infrared night vision technology rapidly advances, FORESEEN OPTICS is also committed to addressing the challenges of different cost ranges and customer needs by developing night vision devices with sensor sensitivity ranging from 0.01 to 0.0001 lux, to meet the diverse demands of the market. Through this diverse product line, we are dedicated to providing our customers with high-performance, cost-effective night vision solutions, helping them succeed in night hunting and other low-light environments.
